Primož Trubar

This year is marked by the 500th anniversary of Primož Trubar’s birth. With his work the renowned author significantly marked the Slovene culture. The occasional exhibition will put on display a selection of facsimiled editions of Trubar’s works, critique studies and different biographies.

Deltiology
The First World War on the postcards of Ljubljana

In the field of deltiology we will put on display postcards of Ljubljana from the period of the First World War, representing the Italian prisoners of war in the Ljubljana castle, the wounded receiving treatment, the activity of the Red Cross and other charitable organisations, and also propaganda postcards (war propaganda, raising money for the families of the killed, etc.). What is more, visitors will also be able to admire individual objects of that period (badges, decorations, books, and soldiers’ products).
The exhibition is curated by Zmago Tančič and Miloš Mikolič.
Minerals, fossils, ornamental and precious stones

At Collecta you will be able to admire specimens of minerals and fossils from collections of the members of the Association of Minerals and Fossils of Slovenia (DRUŠTVO PRIJATELJEV MINERALOV IN FOSILOV SLOVENIJE). The world of minerals will be presented by the MEŽICA LEAD AND ZINC MINE, which is known for the most beautiful wulfenite and calcite crystals in Slovenia, and the IDRIJA MERCURY MINE, which has the longest mining tradition in Slovenia.
