NEWS IN 2009
Collecta 09 has closed its doors after 3 days
(March 30th, 2009)
Leaving Collecta, visitors and participants were very well impressed. After three days of different events, searching, comparing and purchasing different exhibits, Collecta successfully closed down. The rainy week-end didn't prevent 9,700 visitors and 140 participants from Slovenia and abroad from visiting the 3rd International Collectors Fair at the Gospodarsko razstavišče (Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre).
Many events took place in lecture rooms and exhibition areas: publishing houses presented themselves, many children visited our Children's Corner (Otroški kotiček) and more went on. On Friday, in collaboration with Moro company, we put the biggest European gold coin on display. Two lectures and two auctions were held on Friday and on Saturday.
Many visitors were attracted by Slovenika Exhibition where many important historical moments were put on display: extreme weather conditions in Slovenia, the works of France Prešeren, Slovenia's greatest poet, 100 hundred year-old locomotive, fossils and minerals from different periods, figurines, including that one representing Elvis Presley, and many other items.
We would like to thank all participants for their cooperation.
You are kindly invited to keep on visiting our webpage where we are going to publish the date when the 4th Internaltional Collectors Fair will take place soon.
You can find more event moments here at the Photogallery.
