PAPER MONEY FROM 1759 TO 1918
THE FIRST CURRENCY IN EUROPE

This year’s Collecta will present to visitors a special guest exhibition of banknotes of the Czech numismatic collector, Vladimir Filip. In this exhibition, reproductions of paper money circulating in the Austrian Empire in the period between 1759 and 1918, also on today Slovenian and Czech Republic territories, will be put on display. The banknotes are arranged chronologically according to rulers, in full set and in certain cases also displaying contemporary counterfeit banknotes circulating at that particular time. The exhibition catalogue will be available free of charge, while the book will be available for acquisition at the ENA stand.
