MY FIRST 50 YEARS OF COLLECTING STAMPS

Lecture by: Dr. Veselko Guštin

Dr. Guštin’s lecture will present his first 50 years of collecting stamps. From the very beginning - his first real album, cutting stamps from envelopes, varied purchases and monotonous insertion of stamps from Yugoslavia and Liechtenstein into the album to the turning point – the search for old envelopes and postal cards and postmarks of Primorska, concentration camps, the partisan postal service, all the way to his first exhibition and the first appraisal of collections.

CHAOS OR ORDER

Lecture by: Staša Bračič

After they have gathered some stamps in bags or albums, many collectors face the question: »Now what?« The lecture is trying to answer this question and at the same time provide some basic guidance about the ways of organising the collected material. Organised philatelist material enables easy surveying, so its owner will take pleasure in presenting it to others. The lecture will be accompanied by practical work.
